Daniel Gregoire is traded to Steven Spielberg at the end of Star Wars: Episode III to complete previs on War of the Worlds. Working on a laptop on location in NY, VT and CA, as well as, out of the art department with his team, Gregoire mastered the art of mobile pre-viz to complete the action set pieces, which were ultimately filmed by Director Steven Spielberg. From start to finish, War of the Worlds was completed in 9 months – unprecedented for this genre – and a testament to the power of pre-viz in the hands of someone who knows how to use it.
