ABOUT US
Sound and picture recently published an article detailing how Postvis supervisor Tefft Smith II collaborated to develop the look of Disney’s latest visual wonderland. Here’s an excerpt:
Director James Bobin and picture editor Andy Weisblum collaborated with Halon Entertainment to help create the film’s multitude of elaborate visual effects. Specializing in previs and postvis, Halon allows filmmakers to visualize sequences before and during production by creating interactive digital versions of setups and sequences. While previs typically entails mocking up temp sequences and animatics during pre-production, postvis is completed after principal photography and is especially helpful during the editing process of a VFX-heavy project like Alice Through the Looking Glass.
